I can’t figure out how to get the car seat cover off because of the harness?
I have a used Evenflo Discovery 5 infant car seat and am TRYING to get the original cover off for washing but can’t figure out how to get the straps out!? I got them unhooked from the seat it’s self but how do you get it through to get the cover off? anyone know? and I’m also having problems figuring out how to take the canopy off.. I do not have the instructions/manual

I have the same carseat. You know the latch on the back on the carseat, like how you adjust the straps. You should beable to slide that latch out and then pull it through the cover and take the cover off.
The only thing the manual says is:
1.)To clean pads slide the elastic loops off the seat pad off of the seat shell.
2.)Cloth pads and canopies may be machine washed separately-cold water, delicate cycle, tumble dry 10-15 mins, low heat.
3.)Wipe straps, buckles, and harness adjuster with warm damp cloth and mild soap. Air dry.
4.)To help pretect the vehicle upholstery, place a towel beneath and behind the child restraint.

What would be the best shelter to cover a car and humans in the open desert?
Me and another are planning to attend Burning Man this year, which will require desert camping. We have a tent, but we would also like something more open to beat the heat, and to cover our car. We were thinking about running a tarp over the car, like a tent with the car in the center supporting it. Or a canopy. Any advice?

Get a 20×12 shelter and the extra attached walls. The car will fit under it and the extra walls will act as a wind and sun break. Believe you me you will need it. Also bring an old rug, the alkali ground is a killer to the skin.

Car Seat Carriers for infants….girl vs boy?
Okay so I received a brand new car seat carrier travel system about a year and a half ago for my daughter for her shower. I am now pregnant again with a boy. Would you use this car seat for your boy?

Would you try to buy a cover for it? If they make covers are they covers for the top canopy thing since it is pink and isn’t removeable? I am just trying to get opinions on this because my mom is being such a pain in the as* saying I should cover the pink one and use it for my son. I have not seen a cover yet for it and she keeps saying you make one. Well I am not making one so that is out of the question. I figure it would just be easiest to buy another car seat. I can get a used one I have no problem doign that. What do you all think?
I used this for my daughter and I had a purple blanket with her also and people asked if it was a he or she. I couldnt believe it! I really don’t want to carry around a boy in a pink car seat though. It just makes me look like I can’t afford one for him so how can I afford a baby. That’s just what I think. I know people already look at me like I am probably on welfare because I am a younger mom so I don’t want people to also assume I can’t afford anything for my child.

I would probably try to buy a new cushion for it. If you go to Gracobaby.com and click on replacement parts. You need to put in the model number to search for replacement parts. Maybe you could put in the model number of a pattern that you would like for your little boy? Maybe they could send the canopy too? Are you sure it doesn’t come off? Ours does. Good luck!

It’s also a Snugride so it should fit your seat.
Buying a carseat used is always risky since you can’t know if it’s been in an accident. But, if you bought one really cheap, maybe you could use the cover from it and put it on yours?

I am so excited about my baby boy!!…Car seats?
I just can’t wait to meet him. I am trying to decide what Graco Snugride infant car seat I like for him. I have a snugride already but in pink so I got suggestions from a few stating I could order the cover and canopy I like at gracobaby.com as a replacement part and then put in on mine. So that is what I am doing.
So the question here is: What Graco Snugride (not Snugride 32) infant car seat do you like?
nothing wrong with them I just need some ideas of the regular snugride ones that people like (the pattern) so I can get one to fit the snugride I have already.
