setting up a booth for arts and crafts sale?
i am going to be selling photography in frames in a booth at an arts and crafts sale outdoors. we use a tent to cover us from the sun (or rain) but i dont know how i would display my photography since there are no walls in the canopy tent to hang up picture frames. does anyone have any ideas on how i can show my photography so people can acess it easily and see it? thanks!

Tie runners from the top frame of the canopy and stake into the ground. Tie knots spaced evenly down. Tie string on top of the knots(I’d use a slip knot) and use the string to connect the hanger on the back of the frame to the tied string. You could also use this to “string” the frames around the canopy top. Making tripods are easy too. 3 pieces of wood and one cross piece. Sometimes you can find plate holders that will work also.
Good luck to you -

What would YOU do if You where ripped off at a yard sale?
My husband and I love to go to yard sales. This morning we went to a killer yard sale and purchased a tent canopy for 20$ and a pressure washer for 15$. We where thanking our lucky stars when we found these at such a great deal because these are items that we needed in a very bad way.
The guy that sold them to us said that the pressure washer worked great and that the canopy had no rips or tears and was not broken. Both where damaged, A LOT. Should we take the stuff back and try to get our money back or post signs that read, ” THIS GUY SELLS BROKEN CRAP! DO NOT BUY HIS STUFF!” and post his address on the sign? Please tell me what you would do in this situation. We know that we should have checked out the items before we baught them, lesson learned the hard way.

Most folks are right. Chalk it up on the loss column and let it go. However, you MIGHT just dump the stuff on his lawn at night. Know where you can get some dog poop?

Are you or will you be reading the Sunday news papers?
If you do, look at an advertising insert from KMart. In the section for green houses on sale there is a picture of a 10X10 straight leg canopy. To the left is a dome tent and below it another tent and some coolers and more camping paraphernalia. There is something ‘off’ with the picture of the canopy tent, can you spot it?
I’ll just tell you what I found hilarious. The shade from the tent is actually behind the tent, not on the majority of the stuff inside. I realize it’s the way the sun was shining when the picture was shot. IMO, it kind of defeats the purpose of having a ‘shade’ tent if you have to sit behind it to be in the shade………defeating the purpose of the ad. Maybe I just have an unusual humor bone.
Fake name, at first I thought you just didn’t get it. I thought about it and finally realized I was the one who just didn’t get your answer. That gave me my second good laugh of the day, thanks.

Wanna pass that over when you’re done? I need some toilet paper, in Australia so it will be a long reach.

There’s nothing you can do unless you have a written contract. Even with new purchases, it is always a matter of buyer beware or CAVEAT EMPTOR. Just make sure that everyone you know is aware that the seller was less than forthcoming about the condition of the goods. If this happened to other buyers then there won’t be many returning customers at the next garage sale he holds. He just gave himself a severe case of “short-term gain for long-term pain”.
